Dear all,
Here comes a new Chapter for you all...full of new exotic recipes from the deep...up north!
From now on I will post Swedish recipes (search them with the hash tag #Lovesweden) made mostly with my beloved tamagochi (I mean the German proud-product: Thermomix).
First recipe I want to share is a very seasonal one: Apple juice!
Basically is really simple but... it does require the use of a powerful kitchen mixer....well if you have a juicer than that's perfect!
If not you need to get a bit crafty as I did...
Now let's make it simple: whatever kind of apple will do the job ...as long as you do remove the stem and chopped them (at least) in quarter ....as the last thing you want is to burn down your damn expensive mixer ( I am talking about my "one arm and leg expensive'" thermomix....).
Then simply gradually start chopping from speed 4 increasing up to 8 for about 10 to 30 seconds....you should get a kind of smashed apple pure'.
Then it's time to get dirty ...as you need to press out the juice with a strainer cloth or something similar ( I did used a mosquito net....brand new obviously. ..no need to add mosquito flavouring to your juice).
After that gotta cook the juice for 15 minutes at 80 Celsius , bottle it in a clean glass bottle (or jar) and let it cool down.
I suggest to keep it in the fridge and consume it within 3 months ( the bottle should be tapped tightly ).
Then just njoy it as the "germans" do: mix half juice with half very-bubbling water and there you have it: Apfelschorle!
Then of course comes the question: what the fxxx to do with that dry fiber left over after the squeezing? Well easy answer: Apple power bars!
.....and that will be one of my next recipes :)
